This is where the Fundy Tides (the highest in the world) have gouged four-storey sculptures from the cliffs. At low tide, they look like flowerpots. At high tide, they disappear, leaving little tree-topped islands in their place. This is the only place where Bay of Fundy tides are interpreted.

This is your opportunity to experience the beauty of one of the last remaining great sand dunes on the northeastern coast of North America. The fragile ecology of the area is protected by a boardwalk, which also provides access to native plants, animals and birds. During the peak summer period (July and August), visitation to the site is limited and will be permitted on a first-come, first-served basis.

This natural phenomenon is a result of the record high tides of the Bay of Fundy. Within an hour, the river can go from a muddy river bottom at low tide to being filled to its banks at some 7.5 metres depth.
